Session Details

Once upon a time, your success as a Database Administrator required only that you develop expertise in SQL Server installation strategies, backup and restore operations, and perhaps performance tuning. However, now that the modern IT landscape includes technologies such as cloud computing and server virtualization, your continued success requires you to adapt and expand your skills. It is increasingly important to develop a broad understanding of modern application stacks before you can facilitate an intelligence system design to support your data management requirements.

To achieve this goal, you need to build a foundation by understanding concepts related to virtualization, storage, and software-defined networking. After all, "the cloud" is just a massive virtualization environment.
