Monitoring, Auditing and Alerting in SQL Server

You've built your shiny new SQL Server and everything looks great But what next? What should you do to keep your servers working in tip top condition What house-keeping tasks should you be doing? What alerts should you setup? What shoud you be auditing? How do you know if someone is tampering with your carefully crafted settings? This presentation will go through some of the things that I do in my SQL estate to ensure that the instances keeps working, are secure, safe and that I am informed quickly when something bad happens.
