To stream or not to stream - from the device to insights

2022

TL; DR

A look at a IoT data distribution chain and the possibilities of streaming data with the help of Azure..

Session Details

Having to handle IoT devices with different generations of sensors and technology inside - which are located worldwide with challenges in connection, bandwidth, and security- leads to the question of which method can be used to generate a proper end-to-end data flow. We will look at a data distribution chain starting from the IoT device through the edge to Azure (in a hybrid and scalable scenario). We will consider which influence different surrounding conditions will have on deciding if and how to stream data and how to orchestrate the involved tools and methods. As a finding from this session, you will learn about to handle some of the main factors and considerations that influence the choice of your (IoT) data streaming solution.
