Tom Harper

Tom Harper is the EMEA NoSQL & OpenSearch SA Manager at Amazon Web Services, leading a data specialist team covering DynamoDB, in-memory databases (ElastiCache/Valkey), and OpenSearch across enterprise and public sector customers. He previously built and led AWS's EMEA Relational Database SA team for Amazon RDS. Before AWS, Tom spent 17 years at BP — from senior Oracle DBA leading global operations across 1,200 databases in energy trading, to architecting the migration of thousands of heterogeneous databases to AWS with zero-downtime patterns.
